It is very common! For many women, it's the first experience with heartburn. Not fun! Ask your doctor what antacids she/he recommends. I kept Gaviscon in my purse, in the glove box and in every room of the house!

Heartburn is common throughout your entire pregnancy. Some people do get it early and some people don't get it until the very end. In some cases, the doctor could prescribe medication to help alleviate your heartburn. Or you could just try your every day over-the-counter heartburn medicine. The best thing you can do for your body is to eat right.

Heartburn in early pregnancy is very common. It even can get worse later in the pregnancy. At night propping yourself up can help you sleep. Rolaids and Mylanta can help.

Morning sickness, nausea and vomiting can cause heartburn during the first trimester of pregnancy. Ask your doctor if avoiding certain foods or taking a calcium rich antacid might help.

This is common, since the baby is pressing against your stomach. It is also common if you have unrelenting morning sickness. Try a few crackers each evening before you go to bed to reduce the stomach acid. If it remains bad, see your doctor.
