How can you stop eyeliner smudges?

After applying your eyeliner, take a warm wash cloth and wipe directly under your eyes. This prevents the extra eyeliner that is on your eyes from smearing later on. Also, there is water proof eyeliner that would also help.

Using liquid eyeliner will significantly reduce the smudging that comes with using traditional eyeliner. Also,use a primer or eyeshadow first.

This is probably occurring because you are using an eye crayon. If this is what you use, you should dust some translucent powder over your eye liner to help it dry. The other option is to use a liquid liner. These typically don't smudge.

You can minimize eyeliner smudges by starting out with clean and dry skin. Use a good quality eye primer to start across your entire eye area including your upper lash line and your lower lash line if needed. You can also try dotting the eyeliner on rather than making a steady line for greater control and less smudging.
