Check to see if it is wired properly. Often there is a wiring problem. If it is wired correctly, then there may be a manufacturer defect. Call customer service.

It is very hard to diagnose something without knowing what the problem is. You would have to explain what is wrong first.

Look in the instruction manual there is a troubleshooting section for the common problems. If you don't have it get in online from GE"s website.

What is your problem? Impossible to diagnose a problem if you do not type what it is? Need more info. Get back to this form with more info.

Likely, the problem is associated with a burned out heating element. This may be easily verified by making a resistance measurement across the element.

One should begin by going to the product guide and looking in the chapter that covers troubleshooting. You can also look on the internet for information on troubleshooting your specific model of hot water heater.
