Your dog doesn't need training, you do. Just, don't put your face next to your dog's if you are not in the mood for a dog kiss.

That's affection your dog is showing you. Do not reject your dog for that, as they have feelings. Keep in mind that a bite by a human is much more prone to infection than a dog bite. In other words, their mouths are cleaner than yours

If he tries to get close to your face you push him away. If he's sitting with you keep him away from your face. He wont be tempted.

When your dog starts to lick your face immediately move away and ignore your dog. Petting him or will make him think licking is a good way to get attention.

Aversion training is one method. That doesn't mean slapping your dog when he licks your face, of course -- although you should push him away firmly.
