Hamsters learn through repetition. In order to teach one tricks, you must have the hamster try again and again. The less complicated the better. Hamsters are not easily trained, and do not do tricks for human approval, as dogs do.

You can train your hamster just like you train any other pet. The best way is to give it treats when it does something you want it to do. I trained my hamster to sit calmly on my shoulder as I walked down the stairs. It just takes persistence and a gentle hand.

Hampsters can be hard to train, but like other animals, they respond well to treats. It might be best to start him off slowly with a hamster wheel or ball.

You really can't, I'm sorry. You may be able to use treats and behavior modification to teach it something very simple, like a maze. They aren't very social.

Training a hamster to do tricks is like training a dog to do tricks; they learn best through rewards and positive reinforcement. A good idea is to use sunflower seeds as treats.
