How can I stop my refrigerator from freezing things stuck in the back?

I've already turned it down as far as it will go!

Unfortunately, if you have already turned it down as low as it can go, that's really all you can do. Don't put things in the back.

At the back of the refrigerator there is sometimes a wire, make sure this is touching the back of the refrigerator as it controls the temperature and keeps the refrigerator at the proper temperature. Check food is not jammed at the back and check the temperature is not to high.

Is your fridge full regularly? It the air can't circulate, it will always be cooler in the back. It also means your food at the front isn't staying as cold as it should be. Put a block in the back to keep from pushing things back there.

The proper temperature should be between 35 and 42 degrees. If the bottom shelf is warmer, put produce and sensitive products down there, if the temp is to low and you cant adjust it, buy a new thermostat that is properly working. Call a repair technician where you bought it.
