One of the problems with raising birds in an artifical enviroment is they do not have the normal parental instincts towards their offspring or eggs. This is why hamsters sometimes eat their young. The only thing you can do is take the eggs away and try to incubate them yourself.

If she is eating her eggs there is probably something wrong. Is she in a high traffic area? Does she have a nesting box? Or are you afraid this is bad for her? Birds often eat eggs or eggshell in the wild. Just like us, they need the calcium to produce healthy eggs. Find a book on raising Cockatiels.

You may have to remove the eggs once they are laid and place them in an incubator to keep the bird from eating them.

Choosing an experienced mate for your female is best. Cockatiels that lack family experience will often eat their young, abandon them, or eat the eggs.

She is most likely eating her eggs to get more calcium. Try mixing some scrambled eggs, shells included, and give them to her along with seeds to help her diet.
