First select the text area that you want to rotate and then click on Format tab on the Menu bar. Then select "Text direction". Select the direction in which you want to rotate the data and click ok. There are two options in rotating the direction of the text in MS Word. They are whole document and selected text area.

MS Word does not have any built in functionality that allows you to rotate the direction of your text. The best option would be copy your text to another program that has this functionality, such as Paint, rotate your text in that tool, and then copy it back into MS Word.
