Lay a deflated balloon on a flat surface. Using acrylic paints, paint the design of your choice on the balloon. The design will look larger when the ballon is inflated.

You can paint on a balloon using a paintbrush and paints. I would get the little paint sets they sell at walmart for paint by number. Just in case there is any reaction with the more expensive kind. What a fun idea!

It depends whether you want to paint before or after inflating the balloons. Before hand, I would use permanent markers, such as Sharpies, with broader tips so you don't poke holes. After inflation, I would try any paint that is quick enough drying -- I'd prefer fabric paints.

The best way to paint on balloons is to use magic markers. They're not actually paint but they work quite well on balloons. The balloon should be fully filled.

The best way is to use dry erase board markers or sharpies! The permanent markers work great as well! The fine point ones are best.
