There are many methods to distress your old jeans. For one you can take sand paper and cheese graters to make abrasive cuts and wear down the fabric, and if you want a vintage looking stain you can die your jeans in coffee grounds. Darker the brew, darker the stain.

You can pay a lot of money and get designer jeans that are prefaded. They come in many varieties: one is even splattered with paid. A cheaper alternative is to buy some pre-owned jeans at a thrift store.

The easiest way to make your new jeans look old is to use sandpaper down the front, right along the thigh area and on the back right below the butt of the pants. Use a razor blade on the knees to cut small holes and fray the edges by dragging the razor across the seams.

1. Run them through a washing machine and dryer a couple dozen times with your other laundry loads. 2. Rub your hands or an item all over them to wear them out. 3. Leave it on a clothes line in the sun to fade for a few days. 4. Wash it in bleach water several times.
