With pen and paper at my bedside I record my nocturnal adventures. From soaring like an eagle to falling into the bowls of hell I quickly record the details of my dream the moment I am awake enough to write in my journal. Then later refer to my A to Z dictionary by Michael Vigo to interpret their meanings.

By getting better at understanding sybolism. Many aspects of your dreams are symbols that are meaningful to you. Study both universal symbolism and recognizing your own, personal symbolism.

The first thing to do is keep a journal or tape recorder next to your bed and when you wake up, immediately record the images you remember. You can get all kinds of books to help you interpret what your dreams mean. You will see a pattern after a while.

Calvin Hall had the largest dream collection in the world and it led to his content analysis of dreams. Unlike Freud, he sees dream symbols as explaining dream meaning, not hiding it. He believed we can interpret our dreams and he provides the tools to do so.
