Read books about Japan and go online to learn about its history. Read books, watch movies, and listen to music that is popular in Japan. Take a language class before you leave. Many language classes include a culture aspect. You can also take classes about Japanese culture and history.

Find out how much of what you will be doing you can do here. You should be able to get Japanese programming and websites and make friends with as many of the people as you will be with as you can.

Just enroll in a school and learn the language. They will also tell you about the culture. Or you can just research online. Or get a book on Japanese culture.

The internet is a great place to start looking for information. Also you can look at books, such as 'Japanese Culture' by H. Paul Varley.

japan has a very intresting and different culture. So you need to know some things before you go. One good place to learn is the official tourism guide for Japan online. Remember to speak politly, don't tip, don't point with your chop sticks, there is communial bathing, and take your shoes off when going into peoples homes.

You can get it from there only. Otherwise you can learn from your friends if you have got any from Japan or who had earlier visited Japan. Nobody knows every place cultures but they gets involved in that after staying there for some days only. Thats all.
