Night crawlers love areas where they have things to eat and sufficient moisture. To remove them quickly, put a weed and feed fertilizer on your lawn and it will kill them. Worms are good for your lawn though.

Eliminate any piles of leaves or vegetation night crawlers can hide under. Make sure your lawn has proper drainage so the property doesn't stay too damp.

Night crawlers, (worms) are good for the soil and something most people want. However, if you are determined to get rid of them, you can pour salt on the ground. This will make them go away, as well as destroy your soil.

Go to your local department store in the lawn and garden department and get some insecticide that states it will specifically kill night crawlers. Follow the directions on the bottle.

There are a variety of chemicals that you can place on your yard and get rid of night crawlers after a single application - but they are great for airation of your yard and shouldn't be killed.

One can use insecticide. Or a non pesticide solution is taking water with soap and soaking the lawn. Worms will surface, then all you'll need to do is remove them.
