Don't "cope. " Indeed, you should relish your condition! Know that you are non-neurotypical, and that makes you spectacularly qualified to be unique. Go forth, and be yourself.

Although life requires flexibility, keeping to a schedule will help you cope. Make sure there is a space you can escape to and be by yourself when you need less stimulation. In social situations, try to have someone you can contact if you need help or need to leave.

This question is hard to answer without knowing what the exact problems are, but I would suggest to start out by learning as much as you can about Asperger's. Maybe if you understand more about what your roommate is going through, you will be able to come up with ways to cope or even to help him.

Remember to laugh about it and be upfront to people you meet. Finding the humor in your situation could be a great thing for you.
