How can I convert an oil heater to gas?

Replace both the burner unit and the ignition unit also. Run a new fuel supply line - this will need to be approved by the local utility. l.P. gas has to be a certain distance from the house. The utility has to run the lateral from the street.

Depending on the type of heater you have you will have to change the whole burner on the appliance contact the manufacturers to see if this is safe to do.

I'm sorry to tell you this is not a practical proposition, you need design skills, and it would COST. You must replace the oil heater with a gas heater.
