Rescue organizations in nearly every state offer a $5000 reward for reporting individuals who are breeding dogs for aggression (fighting), over-breeding, releasing puppies too early, running puppy mills, and so forth. Dog fighting is against the law. Some breeds are protective; no breed is "aggressive."

Aggressive dogs are not a joy to have. If you want a dog to guard your home, get one that is a trained watch dog.

You do NOT want to breed a dog purely for aggression. That is very dangerous and she could potentially turn on you. You can put her in a class to train her like a police dog by using special commands.

There is a very big difference between a protective dog and an aggressive dog. Not realizing the difference is a big mistake and can result in owning a dangerous dog. It is possible to train a dog to defend you and your home without it being aggressive towards your visitors and family. Dogs CAN learn the difference.

If you have an aggressive female, you shouldn't breed her because you don't want her passing those genes on to puppies. A dog doesn't have to be mean to guard a home. A big dog that barks when anyone comes around will usually scare people enough.
