Yes, The Watchtower is a monthly publication printed by them. Many I have read pertain to articles about bettering yourself as a person (ex. quitting smoking, getting off booze etc.), but far more are about the coming "End of Times" and embracing god's message and accepting Jesus into your heart. This publication contains information about upcoming Biblical prophecies (May,1,2010).

I remember reading a small Watchtower book several years ago. It was a small volume bound in red leather. I can't remember exactly what it was about, but the overall tone was very optimistic. I also remember it had a lot of vivid illustrations featuring happy families interacting with wild animals.

The works available through the Watchtower library are influenced greatly by the Bible and interpretations of the scripture. It includes a lot of non-fiction, sort of academic works as well as a lot of tracts. You can read most of it online.

I would only suggest reading these books if you are Jehovah's Witness or you believe in what they believe. They as you expect contain strong religious themes. I found then dull.
