Have you heard of using used hydraulic fluid as oil in cars?

Hydraulic fluid is too thin and does not have parafin in it to thicken as it needs to for protecting vital engine parts. Dont do it.

Hydraulic oil does not offer the same lubricity as motor oil so your car's engine would see higher temps and faster wear. However, your engine for a short period of time could handle using hydraulic fluid being that it is, to some extent, a lubricator. The duration of this substitution should be kept to a minimum.

No. The viscosity would not seem to be able to support the functioning of the engine, which includes the moving parts and the friction within the engine. Moreso, the heat from the engine would cause fires and explosions.

You should never be used is an automobile engine. It is way too heavy for use for the clearances in an engine. Automotive fluid is design to provide lubrication to the tight area of the engine where a heavy oil can't reach even when warm.
