The average dose for an adult with a sinus infection is either 250-500mg that should be taken every eight hours. This dosage may vary if you have any other medical condition. Describe other medical conditions to your doctor in order to determine the proper dosage for your sinus infection.

The correct dosage would be based on height and weight of adolescent or children and adults. For infants u would not give in pill form and must consult with physician. The infants would get liquid they can't swallow a pill. Usually 500mg to start and 250mg every 8 hoursfor people with average weight of 135 or more.

The typical dosage of amoxicillin for sinusitis is one 500 mg capsule, two times per day. However, you need to follow up with your physician to insure proper treatment.

I believe the dosage can change depending on the severity of the infection. My husband has just recovered from this and had to take 500 mg 3 times daily. Talk to your doctor before taking any prescribed medication... there is always a chance that we can misdiagnose our own problems.
