Yes the pH of the mouth is related to gum disease. If the pH of the mouth is acidic then the teeth gets erode and weakens but if it is alkaline then strengthening of teeth occurs due to remineralization. The body to remain healthy should function within the physiological pH parameters.

Bacteria can produce acid as a result of their metabolism and so if the pH is too low there can be an infection occuring in the mouth somewhere that is causing it.

No usually the ph balance does not have to do with your gum disease. The gum disease is from you not brushing and flossing correctly and that can be fixed if taken care of.

Yes, the pH balance of the mouth has something to do with gum disease. If the pH is acidic the teeth becomes weak and gets eroded faster and if the pH is alkaline or neutral,the teeth has a tendency to strengthen via re mineralization.
