Does Texas have a bill of rights?

Yes, it does. The Texas State Constitution includes the bill of rights in Article 1, which was added in 1918. The Texas Bill of Rights includes 32 sections. The most recent addition to the Texas Bill of Rights was added by the Defense of Marriage Act in 2005, defining marriage as one man and one woman.

Yes, it is in the beginning in Article 1, contrast to the U. S. constitution the bill of rights is an addendum. The Texas bill of rights was orginally 29 sections but 5 more have been added. One noteable part is religious test. Which means that no religious affilication is necessary to hold any public office in the State.
