Most wireless switches are located on the front of a laptop and usually are identified by a symbol like an antenna with some parenthesis around it. To turn the wireless capabilities on, you would of course put the wireless switch in the on position. If the switch is in the off position you will not receive a wireless signal.

Probably, depending how new it is. Many new ones have them. you just need to look around the side of your laptop and see where a switch is.

Most laptops do have a wireless switch or more common a button, this allows you to use your laptop without being online, and if you want to go online you push the wireless button and it will locate wireless networks that are available to you, some are password protected so you may need a password.

Check the perimeter of your laptop for some kind of switch with a label such as 'Wireless' next to it.
