Kia does still make vehicles. Their current lineup consists of the Borrego, Sedona, Sorento, and Sportage SUVs, and teh Forte, Optima, Rio, Rondo and Soul cars. It is possible your local dealer has folded, though.
Kia is still alive and well, with their business still growing every year in the United States. In fact they are a major sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
