Does gravity really work?

Answer by  Bill78 (179)

Yes. Gravity is the attractive force which draws objects based on mass. However this force interacts with the electro-magnetic force as well, and when we go from macroscopic items (large objects) to the microscopic items (particles we need magnified to see, the electromagnetic force becomes more of a controlling force than gravity.

Gravity is a very well characterized and reliable force between objects. Two massive (simply meaning objects containing mass) will exert on one another an equal and oppositely-directed force due to gravity. Indeed, if the objects are allowed to move they will in fact do work on one another (in the physics sense).
