Downy works great to soften and cut static cling by coating fibers with a waxy substance. It is available unscented as well as in several scents.

Yes, you can get it unscented and sensitive to skin. It comes in a white bottle. Since my husband had cancer I try to use all without scents and skin sensitive. I never use sheet softners because they are not good for people that are sensitive to allergies.

Most fabric softeners work for me, but I haven't found Downy works better than Bounce or other brands. I tend to pick up whatever is on sale because I haven't noticed a strong difference in products. You can get Downy in the unscented form which is great for those who are sensitive to smell.

I personally love Downy fabric softener. Not only does it get my towels extra fluffy, but they feel so soft. It does come in regular scent as well, but even that does have some fragrance to it. I have noticed that it's not nearly as powerful as the ones with different scents though.
