Does all Challah have egg in it?

Challah is customarily made with eggs, even whole, shelled eggs in the braids. It can be made without if dietary needs require but traditionally hen eggs, duck eggs, or, if really dense bread is wished for, turkey eggs.

There are some modern variations of Challah that does not contain egg, but traditionally it is made with a lot of eggs.
