A Presto knife sharpener works very well if you're just trying to get dull knife blades back up to the way they were when you bought them. It sharpens to normal sharpness.

I have never heard of the Presto knife sharpner to give a full and honest answer. I would think that if it is available to the general public, it may work well for a short time. My husband worked in the knife industry for 15 years, I would have to say professional sharpening is the best.
