Yes. They get an "appearance fee" for every episode they appear in and also get paid each time they do a celebrity appearance for the Discovery Channel to support the show. And, of course, they also get the earnings from what they catch.

Yes these men get paid by the people that make the television show. Just like any show, although they are not actors, they get taken care of.

Of course the captions get paid for their positions on Deadliest Catch. Everyone who is a part of the show recieves a salary; as long as they are working, and driving their boats, the captains will be paid (and probably quite well.)

All who appear on the show are indeed paid for their ivolvement in the show. Captains receive more as the stars of the show.

Thes are paid very well on the "Deadliest Catch". One order 200,000 pounds of crabs that takes less than a week to catch pays a quarter of a million dollars.

Read the question again. Of course they get paid for what they catch. The question is in regards to what Discovery Channel pays them per episode as "reality show" actors.  add a comment

Per episode, the captains are paid. The amount of money varies per episode. This is in edition to there salary that they recieve for being a captain.

Hey Bob! Learn how to use the right words. edition = addition. there = their. In addition to that. don't say their salary that they receive. it is redundant. look it up  add a comment

According to the behind the scenes episode of Deadliest Catch they do get paid but it barely covers the cost of the extra expenses of having extra men on board.

Of course they do. Would you appear on a television show for free? I wouldn't. I have no idea how much they make, but I would imagine the amount has gone up over the last year or two as the show has gained in popularity. If they aren't receiving a salary, they are idiots.

I am almost positive that everyone on the boats get paid a great deal of money. They all risk their lives, and the captain is the one in charge.
