Rechargeable batteries can save you money if you go through batteries quickly. For example if you're using a digital camera that takes AAs and you're using it on a regular basis, over the course of a year it's likely that you would save money by using rechargeable instead of disposable batteries.

Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries are a good investment, they are typically cheap and last a long time. Non lithium rechargeable batteries are a matter of preference, they do not hold many recharge cycles and tend to die faster.

Absolutely, those kind of batteries can be recharged a thousand times in suitable conditions, but you must care about storage temperature (not overheating), and the charging cycle. With normal care, you will have a battery for years.

Rechargeable batteries are an investment. In the long run they can save you money but you need to also buy a charger for the batteries. But one pack of rechargeable batteries should last a long time.

Well it depends on whether or not you use a lot of batteries. It can save money if you consume a lot of batteries. Rechargeables can be used numerous times so they can be more economical but can cost more initially.
