Do I risk negative interactions if I combine Norvasc 2.5 mg with Cozaar for high blood pressure?

This is a good question. Before considering any treatment you should consult your local doctor. Just because a treatment works well for someone else doesn't mean it will, or is even safe for you. If you have any allergies or reactions that you know of let your family doctor know.

Prescribing doctors should be aware of drugs you are currently taking. If information was overlooked or you did not question at the time you received the prescription, always ask your pharmacis, who is aware of side effects,interactions, etc. Both drugs are blood pressure medications. Short term less than 5% of patients had reactions. Reactions increased with longer term use.

Norvasc is a calcium-channel blocker, which relaxes your blood vessels, reducing the workload on your heart. Cozaar is an atagonist, which reduces high blood pressure. Both are also prescribed to treat heart failure. You can quite possibly risk drug interactions (contraindications), while taking both medications at once. Only your Doctor and Pharmacist can answer professionally.

You need to call your own doctor right away don't take anything until you talk to your doctor tell them what has happened and only they will be able to tell you if it is ok to take these two together.

While Norvasc and Cozaar are not listed as having any interactions with each other. They do both lower blood preassure. Consequently taking both at the same time may lower your blood preassure to far. So, spacing them out with a blood preassure check between would not be a bad idea.
