Arizona has dry weather as opposed to a place like, say, Florida where the weather is more humid. Dehumidifiers are used for the purpose of removing excess moisture from the air. So, you would be less likely to need a dehumidifier in Arizona since the air is already so dry.

Arizona is known for it's low humidity almost year round, however in late August the monsoon season arrives and the humidity does rise during this time so a dehumidifier might be needed in your home depending upon ventilation and type of cooling unit in your home.

Arizona has dry heat, so a dehumidifier might not do very much. Though if you have breathing problems, better to be safe than sorry.

Arizona is a dry heat, I can't imagine needing a DEhumidifier, but there will be times you may need some type of Humidifier, to add some humidity to your living space. I find that in the "winter" months static electricity is worse than in "humid" states, and I tend to get mini nosebleeds if I don't have a humidifier.

Arizona has a vast array of climates within its boundaries. Some areas can be quite humid and get heavy rains which are often referred to monsoon season. Other areas of Arizona are desert area and the heat index can be quite high with low levels of humidity. Whether one needs a dehumidifier while living in Arizona will depend on location.
