I grew up with one and I loved him, great dog. Loves water and protect the family first. We just adopted a three year old off someeone and I can see already he is a smart and friendly dog. Get one, you wont be dissapointed.
"Labrashepherds" are typically calm dogs. They have German Shephard shyness and protectiveness combined with the playfulness of a Lab. They learn fast and are great family dogs but they They can be very rambunctious when they get excited. They are very loveable dogs and have a normal life expectancy of 10-12 years. They do like to chew things!
As long as you are prepared to take care of the larger dog once he grows to adult size, yes! Absolutley. They are very sweet animals, just be prepared: they don't stay small forever! A common problem is people not understanding how large the animal will be expected to get. You should ask your vet before adoption.
Lab's are one of the top two dogs for kids. German Shepard dogs can be very loyal and usually aren't that mean. They could be a great pet for you if you are ready for the commitment of a new puppy. Mix breeds are wonderful to adopt and can often be wonderful pets.
My labrashepherd was the best dog ever!!! He was the best of both breeds, big, 75 lbs, quiet, loyal,..loved water, very social with other dogs, but protective of me when he needed to be (only once)!!!!!
