Could swollen gums be a result of wisdom teeth coming in?

My gums in the back of my mouth are swollen and I have yet to get in my wisdom teeth, could it be related to them coming in.

It could be because of your wisdom teeth however it could be something more important. I would go to your dentist to get it checked.

The presence or emergence of wisdom tooth could be because of swollen gums. The virus infection and sensitive nature also add to the cause.

It is very common to have sore swollen gums when your wisdom teeth are coming in. If they become too painful call your dentist.
