Yes, I use my coffee maker as a tea maker. It is possible as long as you like hot tea or have ice cubes to add to your tea. If your liking a colder tea that doesnt take long to get cold I would say you should buy an iced tea maker versus using the coffee maker.

If you have a coffee maker and you prefer tea it is really very easy to use the same appliance for both, if you like tea, you can put water in the coffee maker and run it through the filter with no coffee and you will have hot water available for your tea.
