Can you suggest some good workouts for shoulders and back?

I need to tone and build strength.

The best exercise for strengthening your shoulders is pushups. This will also strengthen your back muscles. Put your hands shoulder width apart on the floor and touch your nose.

lift free weights, particularly from shoulder level up. also, push-ups are good as well. pull-ups work too. google search for details...

For shoulders, I recommend a variety of different pressing movements such as overhead dumbell press, military barebell press, and the highly inclined press using a Smith machine or something similar. These movements will build the shoulders, traps, triceps, and upper chest. For back, you can perform rowing exercise at any number of angles with dumbells, barbells, and machines.
