If it will be used for games or just work. For games is suggest any laptop with at least 2 GB of RAM. 160 GB Hard Drive or better. Plus at least a G-Force graphics card or better with at least 512 MB of RAM. The CPU/Processor should be at least a Pentium 4 or Dual Core for games.

If you are involved in lot of travelling then you should choose the one with the wheels. Pick a spacious one as it should fit the charger, an external mouse and you would sure be buying an external hard disc sooner or later, there should be room for that too. I have the dual set back pack from HP.
