Can you put the decimal number in hh:mm format while working in excel?

I need help with excell.

Yes. To do this, select the cell(s) that you would like to apply the formatting to. Then right click and choose, "Format Cells". The option you are looking for is under the number tab. Choose the "Time" subcategory and then choose your favorite option. The hh:mm format is represented as 13:30.

right click on Column Name and choose format cells. A window pops up. Choose Number tab and in this taba list for categoires will be displaye. In the list choose Time. Choose Type corresponding to hh:mm

You can create a special formatting in Excel to create this effect. Go to "Format", Cells, Number tab, "special" and input the format.

I don't know the answer to your question, however I just purchased the Microsoft Suite Program Software that includes Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc. If you go to Microsoft's website, they have free tutorials to learn how to use these programs.

I would just operate with the standard division operator. If the decimal value is in the cell A1 you can write in B1: = A1 / 60 and in C1: = A1 MOD 60. After that put everything together as string separated with ":".
