Can you give me some suggestions for the text of a wedding announcement?

The text of your wedding announcement just has to give the names of the couple, the wedding date, and typically the names of the parents whether deceased or living.

Depends on who is announcing: the bride and groom or parents. If you eloped secretly use: We slipped away and were married on.

The only rules is to include the name of the groom and the bride. If the parents are named announcing the marriage, all parents should be named. Always put an address for the reception (unless you eloped) Make it fun or formal, there is no right or wrong.
