When I make valentine cookies, I use my favorite sugar cookie recipe and cut them out with heart shape cutter then frost them red and take black decorating icing and write words on them like love, peace,joy. The kids like them and they get a positive message on the cookie.

There are many ways you can spruce up Valentine cookies. Anything from pink frosting to candy hearts works quite well.
