I have the Tom Tom one 3rd eddition. It works well, and its very easy to use. Has multiple points of interest, most importantly an HELP ME function that tells you where you are when you get lost. The interface is simple to navigate through when your driving, and has interpritive text input.

I have a Garmin nüvi® 2370LT GPS system, and I have been very pleased with it. No problems whatsoever. Slick, stylish design, great maps and directions, clear voice work to follow, and many other great features. A bit price, but it screams high quality. Highly recommended.

Garmin Nuvi 2300 has been awesome for me. The nice thing using the garmin vs. others is being able to use my current location getting the directions routed from there.

I use the GPS feature that my smart phone from Verizon has and it works as well as any of the stand alone GPS Systems.

I think a must have would be text to speech, lane assist (to get you in the correct lane for an upcoming turn), and bluetooth. You may want to checkout Newelectronx GPS Navigator
