Can you give me a recipe for Distemper paint?

I know it has some kind of glue in it.

Use: 4oz Hide Glue, 2½cups water, 3.5 kilos Whiting Chalk, 4oz Natural Pigment. Soak(overnight) glue in measured water, soak whiting chalk/water in bucket. Heat glue; stir/dissolve;pour into drained whiting.Let cool.

Distemper paint are also called as soft size paints. to get soft like a velvet use hide glue. If we add hide glue the result will be warm & charming. Ingredients ------------ 1.Hide glue-4 oz 2.Whiting chalk- 5 kilo 3.Water-1/2 cup 4.Natural pigment-100g

An early whitewash, used as a medium for painting thisis made from powdered chalk or lime, and size - about 4 ounces should be dissolved in a gallon of water.
