Depo Provera is 97-99.7% effective as birth control, regardless of if you have a newborn. It can be given 6 weeks after giving birth and is safe while breastfeeding.

That honestly depends on many factors, like how soon after you took Depo did you return to sexual activity. Like most other forms of birth control, waiting a month is advisable to insure it is fully effective. Also, did your system reject it? Where this is rare, it does happen. Anti-biotics can also decrease effectiveness.

The chances of becoming pregnant while on Depo Provera are less than three percent so it's unlikely. Also, having just given birth is irrelavent.

Depo Provera has less than a 1% failure rate, so while it is possible to get pregnant while using it, it's not very likely.

Only if you had the injection after you had your newborn. Depo Provera needs to be taken every three months and it's effective from the moment of the first injection.

It's between 97 and 99 percent effective. So there is a small chance you could get pregnant again. If you're worried have your Man use a condom in addition. With Depro Provera you need to get a shot every three months so remember to go on time!

It is important to remember that no birth control is 100% effective. If you have concerns that you may be pregnant, be sure to take a pregnancy test.
