Yes you definitely can as it is essentially a process of inflammation and infection. However, in the early stages of appendicitis, the symptoms may only be mild abdominal pain without any fever. People who have taken antibiotics during the onset of symtpoms may also not demonstrate the presence of a fever.

Yes, the fever may be mild though accompanied by pain around your belly button area and constipation and vomiting. The fever should be low-grade again, nothing serious.
