It is not practical to keep a saltwater true shark as a pet, since even the smallest is hard pressed to fit in an aquarium. However, there are some rare freshwater true sharks found in some tropical rivers that can be purchased for an exorbitant price, though they're high maintenance.

Of course you can. You can buy almost anything nowadays. You shold go to a specialised store where you can pick the shark that you want and you can also learn how exactly to take care of him and what are the conditions he should live in.

You could probably but one of the smaller breeds of sharks that don't grow very big but states have different laws on what kind of pet is legal to have and you may have a hard time finding a legitimate seller of these animals. Also, feeding it could get expensive.

You can definitely buy a pet shark for your tank. They can be bought from any fish store that sells exotic fish, etc. I purchased a smaller shark that did not get really large when I had my fish tank. They are interesting to watch.
