Puppies can be bottle fed human baby formula. Make sure that you are frequently checking the puppy's weight and adjusting the amount of formula accordingly. Check with your vet often to make sure that all is being done correctly on your end. You will need to purchase a puppy specific bottle, as infant ones will not suffice.

Approximately twenty-five years ago I had a new baby. This is relevant because I also had a dog that gave birth to her first litter. She was unable to produce milk (for whatever reason), and the puppies were starving to death. I bottle-fed all the puppies at two hour intervals and they all survived.

Do not do this unless your vet recomend it. You should not use human formula for a puppy because a puppy has different nutritional needs than a baby. At most pet stores, they do sell puppy formula. The most prevalent type is Lactol although there are other types available as well.

Most puppies receive milk from their mother after the birth some mother puppes will hesitate to give milk to the puppy at that time you can consult a vetenarian and give milk to the puppy as like the children in the feeding bottle the volume has to be checked by consulting the doctor.
