Can you add drawer stops to an older dresser?

I have an older dresser that I am going to refurbish for my children and would like to put drawer stops on them.

You can add drawer stops into a older dresser, all you will need is the stop which you can get at any hardware store.

Some stops mount at the rear on top of the drawer, others mount on the wood under the drawer, near the front but not on the drawer its self, pull the drawer to the stop then press the stop down and pull it the rest of the way out.  add a comment

You can use a tab and screw it to the back side of the top of the opening so that it can swing down and stop the drawer.

On my dressers and chest of drawers the stops are mounted on the wood below the drawer but not on the drawer itself. You pull the drawer out until it reaches the stop, reach under the drawer to the wood below it and press the plastic stop down then pull  add a comment

It is absulutely possible to add drawer stops. Most hardware stores will carry the stops, and you just have to clip them on to the drawers.

Yes, there are several hardware ad home improvement stores that sell drawer stops. They are relatively easy to install for any DIY-er. There are plastic or metal to choose from.

My home depot said they didn't carry them. I told them I needed something to stop a cabinet drawer from being pulled all the way out, or a dresser drawer etc.  add a comment

If you get good ones you will probably be able to add drawer stops. but it would probably be easier to get new dressers.
