Anyone requesting a visa is reviewed by the country to which the request is being made. Consideration is given to the charge, seriousness, whether it was a violent crime, whether it was a state or federal crime, etc. Each country has different standards. All countries issue work visas based on rates of employment and the need for the applicants services.

I don't think they will let a felon get a work visa in another country. But you should talk to lawyer, the lawyer could tell you more about whether or not you can.
