Schizophrenia is not a cause of blackouts. Blackouts or episodes of lost memory may result from excessive alcohol, a type of epileptic seizure called absence seizures, or a dissociative episode that can derive from traumatic experiences like sexual abuse. All of these can co-exist with schizoprhenia.

A person can have memory problems and audio and visual hallucinations. Blackouts would probably be another problem. It is possible to have more than one mental disorder at the same time.
