Can Oxycontin and Trometh be taken together to help with acute pain?

Depending on the nature of the acute pain - yes. Oxycontin is an opioid drug, similar in its action to morphine and, as such, will have many analgesic effects mostly centrally (in the brain). Toradol (Ketorolac Tromethamine) is an NSAID, similar in its action to Motrin/Aleve/Midol/etc. Its action is mostly peripherally to reduce inflammation and the pain associated with inflammation.
