MAC and PC both use the TCP/IP protocol for networking, since the Linksys router would support TCP/IP it would be suitable for use on a MAC network. Most modern routers offer a web based control panel making their setup and maintenance independent of the operating system the computer has installed.

There is no reason you should not be able to. The WT54G setup is not OS specific. In fact, it is configured using web pages. Unless you are using something Apple proprietary instead of Ethernet or 802. 11 you'll be fine.

I use a linksys router although a different model number and it supports the Mac network with no problems. I did have to call their technical support number and spend some time on the phone with linksys in order to get all of the settings just right. I understand their newer models are easier to set up with a Mac.

Almost all linksys components come with drivers for both mac and windows. Check the disc that came with the router, but most likely it will work either way.

Yes, the router does not care what computers who are connecting to it. If you google linksys wrt54g, you might even be able to find software or support for use on the Mac.

The short answer is yes. Routers are built to be platform independent. You'll just have to refer to the Mac manuals to see how to adjust network settings as needed.

I cannot image why it should not work. After all the network technology and protocols are pretty standard. Hence they should work with Macs, Windows or Linux PCs. The Apple software protocols only build on top of it.

Yes, Linksys routers and Mac computers both use standard internet technologies. It doesn't matter if it is a PC or a Mac: they both use the same system.
